In a Press Release on March 11, 2024, the Office of Administration and the Shapiro Administration announced

“The Governor's Science and Technology Fellowship is a one-year program designed to attract master's- or doctorate-level candidates into STEM careers in state government. Applicants who are selected for the fellowship will be matched with a state agency to work on one of 13 targeted projects based on their field of study. Following the completion of their fellowships, participants may be offered a permanent position with the Commonwealth.”
